Presentation and Interview Preparation

When we have received your resume, interviewed you and advised you that we are putting you forward for an interview with a client, there are some important things that you will need to do to prepare for that interview. Recruiters generally create a short list of suitable candidates for each role.  This means that you will be competing with at least two other people for the same opportunity. Interview preparation takes some time and effort.

Company Search
You will need to research the company that is offering the role.  We can give you guidance on how to go about this.

Role requirements and personal experience matching
You will be provided a position description to help you prepare for the interview.  We will discuss with you the key role requirements and give you tips about identifying your personal experiences and skills against these requirements.

Profile Testing
As part of the recruitment process, clients may want candidates to undertake psychometric testing as an additional decision making tool to assess candidate suitability for the role.  Where this is required, we will brief you on what is required and help you to prepare.

Personal Presentation
The old saying “you only get one chance to make a first impression” is only too true in the jobs market. We will provide advice to help you put your best foot forward.

BDI Interview Preparation
Behavioural Descriptive Interviewing (BDI) using the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) Method is commonly used by clients to interview prospective candidates.  We will give you tips on how to prepare for an interview using this methodology.
